Reconnecting Youth

Reconnecting Youth Reconnecting Youth is a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) research validated curriculum. It has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a "model" program. RY provides staff development and supportive services for students, teachers, and communities.

Reconnecting Youth is a curriculum that targets youth in grades 9-12. It focuses on four personal development skills: self-esteem enhancement, decision-making, personal control, and interpersonal communication. Recognizing that the goal of being "problem-free" is unattainable, Reconnecting Youth focuses on developing and strengthening the skills necessary to deal with life problems in a safe and healthy way.
