Tulare County Child Care Planning Council

Each county in California has a child care planning council. Tulare County's council has 35 members from 5 different categories. Parents, child care providers, agency representatives, community representatives and other interested persons are appointed by the Tulare County Superintendent of Schools and the Tulare County Board of Supervisors.

The Child Care Planning Council conducts a child care needs assessment every five years and determines the priorities for child care services based on the needs assessment and current data.

The Planning Council meets on the second Thursday of every month at 3:00 p.m. with the exception of quarterly meetings that are held in four of the five supervisory districts.
