Overnight Accommodations

SCICON has two types of overnight accommodations: student cabins and semi-private housing. All of the accommodations listed below are within a 5-minute walk of the John Muir Lodge.


Student Cabins

Bunk beds in student cabins Student cabins are one-room buildings which sleep 12 people. The cabins are very comfortable with bunk beds, carpeting, heaters and ceiling fans. The cabins are located very close to centralized restrooms and showers. SCICON has a total of 18 student cabins which are situated in two villages of nine cabins each.

Semi-private Housing

There are three buildings with semi-private (2-4 beds per room) housing. These cabins include very nice restrooms/showers, carpeting, centralized heating/air conditioning, and a lounge or living area. The buildings with semi-private housing are:
  • Bear Creek Cabin
    Wheelchair Accessible This wheelchair accessible cabin has five bedrooms that can sleep two to three persons per room. There is a comfortable lounge/living area along with two restroom/shower areas.

  • Exeter House
    This beautiful rustic cabin has four bedrooms which sleep two people per room. In addition to the two restroom/shower areas, there is a comfortable living room, plus a small kitchen for making snacks. The Exeter House also has a spacious outdoor deck with seating.

  • Valley Oak Cabin
    Wheelchair Accessible This wheelchair accessible facility has four bedrooms with four beds in each bedroom. There are two restroom/shower areas, along with a small lounge and a spacious outdoor, covered deck. The Valley Oak Cabin is about a 2-minute walk from the John Muir Lodge.
