Student Art Exhibits
- Exhibit Rules

  • Select from a variety of art which your class has produced. Please submit only original student work. Copies of famous artwork are not appropriate for these exhibitions.

  • PLEASE - NO more than 20 masterpieces per school.

  • Class projects will not be accepted due to limited space. If you do class art projects, select no more than three of the best examples of each project.

  • ALL ART MUST BE MATTED. Matting may be made of construction paper, or you may use the professional mat cutter housed at E.R.S.

  • If you are submitting art that cannot be secured to the panels with pins, please provide another means for display (i.e., wire, hook, etc.). This does not apply to 3D work.

  • Each work must be completely labeled. Please use the Art Exhibit Labels on all artwork and attach the labels as illustrated here. Art which is not properly labeled will not be displayed.

  • Please complete the Artist Address Form, listing each artist's name, teacher's name, and grade.

  • There is limited space for small three-dimensional artwork which must also be properly labeled.

  • Please keep the following in mind when sending artwork:
    • All art should be wrapped or in a container labeled with the name of your school and district.
    • Send all artwork from one site in the same container (unless you are including both 2D and 3D work).
    • Wrap all fragile items in bubble wrap or newspaper.
    • Deliver artwork to the Education Building, 2637 W. Burrel, Visalia, attention Priscilla Gomez; or address it to "Theatre Company" and send it in with your AV materials on the ERS delivery truck.

  • A completed Student Artwork Release Form must accompany each piece of art. No artwork will be displayed without a completed release form.

  • Please carefully consider the subject of your students' artwork. During the annual art exhibitions, the Tulare County Office of Education is visited by hundreds of young students for a variety of other special events. Out of concern for this audience, pieces depicting drug or alcohol use, violence, gang activity and/or nudity should not be sent as they cannot be displayed.

Artwork will be returned via ERS delivery truck after each show. If the truck does not stop at your school, you will need to pick up the art April 12-16, 2010 at the TCOE Theatre Company, 7000 Doe Avenue, Building 300 in Visalia. If you have any questions, please call (559) 651-1482.

Artwork selected for the March exhibit will be kept at the county office until March 31, 2009.
